Hey y’all, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate reading everyone’s fishing reports and gear/tackle/boat experiences and opinions!

I’m seriously considering buying my first boat soon. I have been fishing with my dad in his 2000 SeaArk 1652 for the last 8 years, and it is awesome for what we paid for it and its intended use conditions, but here lately I’ve been thinking I want to get a fiberglass boat for us to use when it’s gonna be windy or we want to take someone with us OR if I get a wild hair and want to bass fish. I’d like to get an 18-19 foot boat as I have a Tacoma (V6, 4x4) and don’t plan to get another full size truck. All that being said....what do y’all think? What do you recommend? I’ve always loved the 90s and 00s Rangers, but I don’t know if boats of that age are too risky. I want to be able to safely go fishing by myself if I want to without breakin the dang bank!
