ulterx or Ulterra and why?

I just went out in my shop to look at my Ultrex. It actually has cables for the turning mechanism! Lol!

That is good info to know!! Thank you! And I’m sorry, when I mentioned cables, I was talking about the mechanism inside the trolling motor itself that turns the shaft. That’s just what my interweb research has turned up....which explains the difference in feel of the foot pedal operation on an Ultrex versus an Ulterra. Also, I’m sorry, I feel like I’ve hijacked this thread with so many questions/responses!

Got my ulterra from bbg ordered on thursday and got it on friday. Brian has good service at great prices. My reason for ulterra is a back fusion and 73. I like not having to get up to deploy and the trim that allows to raise and lower the tm. I did research and found people who liked and disliked both models.

Do I really need side imaging in a trolling motor?
