    Default Limestone Bay 4/16

    Caught zero. None. Zip. Zilch.

I loaded up the kayak yesterday evening after work and drove over to fish the lower end of Limestone Bay. For starters, I knew the water would be high, but I wasn't quite expecting what I found. There was water over the road in a couple of places, including about a hundred yard stretch where the levee is just past the boat ramp. I parked, and waded across the levee and decided it was safe enough so I floated my truck on across. Name: IMG_20200416_142707.jpg

But I couldn't get a sniff from a crappie. I brought minnows for my second pole because I was expecting the action to be slow. Didn't matter. I caught one small bass on a jig, and had a catfish straighten out the hook on my minnow pole. That was all the excitement I had.

Still better than sitting at home, I guess.

With more rain this weekend, it'll be awhile before any of that comes back into shape. ugh

I rode everywhere in the area after work looking to fish from the bank a little. Couldn’t get anywhere I wanted to. Finally bought some worms and found a spot and catfished. Caught a couple of small channels.

With this high water it is getting hard to find a good place to fish. I am sitting here trying to figure out where to fish tomorrow morning.
