Got out for a few hours yesterday morning, 0600-0839. Was worried that the area may have gotten a bunch of rain and got muddied up, but that was not the case! The bait fish were very thick around the bridge I was fishing from the bank. The skip jack were very thick and hard to work thru to get to the crappie. Not a huge amount of success but fun to get out and put a few in the bucket. Was fishing 1/16th jig with chartreuse flitter BG seemed to be working the best. Visibility was about 30". Current was strong and jig would not sink as much as I would have liked, even double rigged! Managed a couple nice slabs, 1 - 4lbs channel cat and this green carp. Only had two short fish, bite was light, the fish were just there and not really thumping it, except that cat and bass they hammered it!
