My friend that fishes there pretty often has talked to a biologist and the game warden who works that area and both of them told him that the lake was not stocked with crappie. So if they did stock it with threadfin Shad I sure hope they took because there is definitely no shortage of crappie to eat them. I had 14, 11-11 1/2” fish from Guntersville on ice in my cooler. I brought home 16, 9 1/2-10 1/2” fish from DRR. There was a layer of ice between them in my cooler. Very easy to keep separate. There was not quite a quart bag of fillets from the DRR fish and there was well over half a gallon bag of fillets from the Guntersville fish. Those DRR fish just don’t have enough to eat.
