I made a trip to Madison County Lake today. It was the only place I could think wouldn't be 10 feet high and muddy. Bad call, it was a foot high and muddy also with visibility of less than a foot. Zero Crappie and only 8 gills and shellcrackers. Most the fish on the fish finder were suspended 6 to 10 feet in 15 feet of water. Water was 52 degrees at daylight and had warmed to 58 by afternoon. Should be good late this week if we don't get to much rain Thursday. Beautiful day to be on the water though!

Thanks for the report. I will be down there to fish Madison County & Guntersville starting Friday for a week with my dad again. Last time I was down it rained 7 days straight and we only got to fish one Sat at Madison and got 9 cats that they had released earlier in the year. They were perfect filet size.
Good report! Glad you got a chance to go!
Glad you're back at it DB!

Good to see you got out DB. Was thinking of hitting MC Lk myself. Didn't do much better where I did go. Was wondering about the temps, Big G is 52 as well.
