Millers Ferry
I would like some info on the places to camp and fish in the miller ferry area. I know of 2 places and was wondering which is the preferred. The state park is up river where other is closer to the dam.
We were planning on camping and doing some fishing. Also is there places to get bait in the event jigs don't work.
I was just wonder if the river or the lake area would be better this time of year.

Can't give you much info. I've only fished there one weekend. The folks that manage Roland Cooper are very nice and could answer any of your questions about bait stores, etc... Look on the thread in the AL forum about Spring Camp 2019 for their contact info.

There are 3 places I know of to camp. Roland Cooper, Millers Ferry, and Chilatchee Creek. The easiest to get minnows is at Millers Ferry. There is not a place to tie a boat up at a campsite at Roland Cooper but the launch is not Far.

The millers Ferry park or campground is the place near the damn. Ive camped there before the marina is just north of the campground. you can drive your boat to the marina and get your bait.
