Love, what more can I say
I think the weight needed would depend a great deal on where it was put. Up in the backwater, I think you'd be fine. Anywhere close to a channel, tie the bamboo to a 73 Oldsmobile. That might be heavy enough...![]()
I know right, when they open the flood gates oh boy.![]()

I would go heavier. I dropped a bunch of structure out on Smith Lake and it all flipped over, which was very frustrating and demoralizing to say the least lol.
The best trick i have found, is to fill a 5 gallon bucket with cement and whatever structure you want (limbs, bamboo, flex pipe, etc) and put 3-4 pieces of 2-3' rebar through the bottom in a cross or triangle pattern so it won't flip over as easy . You can lower the structure with a rope by the handle of the bucket or put an eyebolt in the middle.
I think making natural brush piles are the cheapest and a easiest.
You can also make u a 2 foot by 2 foot or 3 by 3 box out of plywood for the bottom and 2 by 4 for sides held together with a few screws. Place your timber or what ever your using in the box and make supports to hold up right and add concrete wait till it sets and take out screws, knock out concrete, re screw box together and repeat. Also using a square base with standing timber, bamboo, cane, etc u can jut toss it over and it will automatically stand upright , and the base is a lot tougher to knock over then a bucket
