I’m thinking I’m going to need a affidavit of inheritance filled out before I can get it registered or swapped over to my name

So Question and maybe somebody can give me some help.. I’ve had my dads flat bottom since he passed, he had no will and I’m an only child so I want to get this boat registered, is there a certain paper or process I will need?

Is your mom still alive, how long ago did he pass. I registered an old aluminum boat after having it several years with a hand written bill of sale. If possible have your mom write you a bill of sale. If your in Huntsville area go to the license office on hwy 53 off research park

Best bet would be to call the tag office. All I had to have was a bill of sell when I put my dads boat in my name.

Get a copy of the death certificate take it with you...tell then you have possession of your Dads boat now and want to register it in your name.
