    Default Dadgum by catch

This joker sure enough shut down and messed up a good crappie spot. Brock had fun getting her in on a 16' pole with 6 lb test.

I wish I had gotten a measurement on the fish because it has a really long body and big head, but it only weighed 6lb 4 oz. Guess she had just come off the bed. When she first came up and shook her head, I really thought she would be pushing 9-9.5 lbs.

Funny thing is it took me forever to figure out it was you. It never dawned on me that it was you with you pulling a tube. I saw that black Xpress and I thought, hey that guy has got a boat that looks like Mitchells. LOL Even when I threw up my hand to wave at you, I STILL hadn't figured out it was you.

Guess I'm gonna have to get one of those tubes now. Brock thought that looked like fun.

Reckon how many leaders and jigs a feller could tie off the back of an tube?

I'm just curious how long that shaft is on that trolling motor, heck there is 5 foot of it out of the water...

60" shaft. They only offer the Ulterra in a 45 and a 60. I could have used a 45 I'm sure but I had to have it ordered and I didn't want to take the risk. I usually run it deeper than that, but I had been in some stumps earlier in the day and just hadn't reset it.

Oh, I know. I'd trade mine for a 45" in a heartbeat. There has been twice that a 45" would have been too short. Both were in real rough water.

You can always shorten the shaft, if you ever get into pulling cranks at 1.3 to 2.2 mph hours you will wish you had that 15 inches back. Longer shaft equals more bite, less cavitation and increased time overall on battery life. If I just rigged or single poled all the time a 45 would be fine for me as well. Anyway, not meaning to rant or nothing, you guys keep after them!
