Nearly skunked

Took the neighbor boy out today and we caught a lot of fish but only two were crappie. Caught tons of bass long lining but I could find crappie for the life of me. I tried just about every place I’ve ever long lined for crappie on Logan Martin and nothing. Normally I’m out twice a week so I kind of know what they are doing, but only been out about four time this year due to work and weather. Looks like another year with no crappie in the freezer (last year sucked for me as well). Only off on tuesdays and Thursdays so I’ll try again next time it’s not to windy or raining on one of those days.

I feel your pain brother. I've been catching 10 bass to every 1 crappie on Logan Martin. So I keep a limit of bass and every crappie I catch, which is about 5 or 6.

Keep after them it’s going to get right before long ! This cold weather and all the rain got em mixed up!

Everyone seems to be having the same experience on Logan Martin, not many crappie but LOTS of bass.The state biologist has said that the lake is going thru a down cycle on crappie right now and should get better soon.

Wow, bet those bass made a mess of you lines. They always tangle me up pretty bad when they're on.
