    Default Warrior River Crappie Fishing

I am coming home to Jasper, AL tomorrow for the Easter weekend and I am going to be taking my dad crappie fishing on the Warrior River. I have fished the Warrior River maybe 5 times in my 38 years so I'm not familiar with where any good spots are to crappie fish. My dad also never gets out to fish at all. I would really like to take him and have a good time and get into a mess of crappie for him over the Easter weekend. In the past, we put in around G's Landing. If anyone could provide me with maybe a good place to put in our boat and maybe some specific areas to fish for crappie on the Warrior River I would greatly appreciate it. As I don't get back home often, I'd love to show my dad a good time crappie fishing.

Thanks for any tips and/or suggestions!

I was there last week, endured a 6 degree temperature drop, water turned to chocolate milk and wet, windy weather. Even had a tall pine tree fall into the water and hit my front poles. Only caught a few females and I had better luck in the lay downs along the edge of the river channel. We searched several coves and could only pick up one here and there. Water had warmed back to 60 Sunday when we left.

A rain is passing through now, and you will likely find dirty water. The first slough on the right just up the creek from G's usually has less dirty water. It has been good for bass on muddy creek days.
    'at boy just ain't right.
