I wish Ive been stuck at work for last 7 days. Fish probably moved out a little with the last cold front that came through. I was catching them in 4-6ft off water before weather change

Anyone fish wheeler today? I went for a few hours and got skunked! Haven’t been out for over a year but expected to find something. Boy was I wrong. Fished hard docks and state docks.
Have the fish moved up shallow or still deep? Water temp seemed low for the time of year, 52-57. Wind blowing probably 20mph didn’t help either. Hopefully tomorrow will be better!

I did ok today, but the wind was brutal!!
Always skinny, I was back up inside the creek in the pits where the crappie typically spawn.
Do you put in at Arrowhead or from the town of Mooresville to reach the pits?
I launch from the bank in the fields off Pryor Rd, part of Wheeler NWR.
Maybe already have. I always welcome meeting fellow kayakers and don't mind if someone follows me or even fishes right next to me. That being said I tend to follow my own path and seldom intrude on anyone else space. I always wear a khaki, wide brim Tilly's hat when fishing and have a long white goatee, I kind of stick out. If you see me your always welcome to follow me around and/or trade tips.
Hmm, doesn't ring a bell. I have a big, mostly gray now, beard and fish out of a green camo Field and Stream Talon kayak. And, I drive an old, dirty, black, supercrew, fx4 F150. I generally do my own thing too, but I'll say hi if I ever see you out. Like I said, sounds like we fish and even park in a lot of the same areas.
