    Default Lake Jordan, AL Mystery

I'm new to the forum and mostly a bass fisherman but really want to start getting into crappie. Most all of my crappie experience centers around minnows in the spring. After that, I usually pick up the bass rigs and start casting.
I just set my boat up with a couple of driftmaster t bars for trolling but haven't had much luck.
Its hard to get their patterns down with water temps swinging so much, not to mention my limited experience.
Anyone got any tips for Lake Jordan, AL this time of year? Not trying to move in on anyone's honey-hole, just want to catch some fish with my kids.

They will be getting shallow soon. But, since you have those rod holders installed, you might try dragging jigs in new lake. We caught a few in the first hour of daylight last Saturday. We drug 1/16 with BG Purple Passion and lights out at .8-1.0

Is New Lake also considered Blackwells? Can't seem to find it listed on the map.

    Thanks in advance....

New lake is the forebay above bouldin dam and powerhouse, to enter you go down the canal then it widens into new lake.check google maps,,its below Blackwells.

Appreciate the advice. I’ll have to try that out.
