West Point Lake in Alabama/Georgia
Hello all I am heading to West Point in a few weeks 3/16-3/23 with my son and good friend to catch some slabs. I was there a few years ago and did ok. I am wondering if there are any locals on here that fish that lake that wouldn't mind giving a guy a few pointers. I will be staying and docking out of Southern Harbor

Based on other posts on here, sounds like Wehalkee creek is doing pretty good right now. Go under the 109 bridge and stay shallow. That's the area the boyscouts put out a bunch of brush piles. Search google maps for Dewberry Recreation Area. If you don't see any other boats around, you're prolly in the wrong spot...
I'll be at Holiday campground the week after you, so let me know how you did.

I'll be there about the time your leaving. They are usually a few still spawn around that time. I go every year and do pretty good most years. Westpiont can get very clear so make sure to have some 4lb low vis. Line. Let us know how you do please.
