Met up with CrappieSeeker in the wee hours of the morning to do some bridge fishing. He gave me a fishing clinic on how to catch them on minnows under a lighted bobber. It was really slow this morning, not much current or wind current either. Most fish were 3-5' deep. No one particular color of jig out shined any other, it was a struggle to find a keeper on jigs, a lot of shorts today. We wound up keeping 20 with a couple really nice fish in the mix. 10 of the fish were females and the eggs are really well shaped with blood veins getting them ready to drop. Believe some of these fish will spawn with this moon cycle and the warm temps we have seen this early. Really surprised to see some of the colored fish with their tuxedos on already.![]()
