Well at least you got a shear. If I did that project I would have to cut it out by hand. I do have access to some nice tools but a shear really speeds things up.

Mithcell, you're right! I've been watching Richard Gene the Fishing Machine too, so I can use a coleman cooler if I need to. :)
Glenn, you aren't kidding. It greatly speeds up the process. Our shear is a beast, it never even knows it's cutting the .125" aluminum. LOL The brake is nice too because I can make angle instead of buying it. I have yet to use a new, uncut sheet of aluminum on the boat. Everything I've used so far has come out of the scrap rack. I may have to get out a new piece for the doors....
I'm building a trolling rack for my new boat right now. Got the welding done. Got to drill all the holes this weekend and I'll be ready to roll
