    Default Minnow/Minner/Minnard rigging help

What tackle and how do you guys rig minnows/minnards/minners for vertical fishing or fishing docks? I haven't fished with minnows enough to know the best size and style hook, or what weight to use, or to use a split shot or to use a weight below the minnow, etc...

So if you don't mind, tell me how you rig yours. Thanks.

I like a split shot 12-18" above the bait, then use a slip bobber to get to the depth I want to fish.

No right or wrong way. I've caught the all different ways hooked in the lips, back and tail. I've used the trolling with just a split shot , under all kinds of float . I even cast and reeled like a jig. Just try different ways and see what works. Trolling the is a great way to find fish to. Just turn your trolling motor way down and troll around you will always pick up a few.

How deep do you troll minnows under a bobber?

I just use a small split shot. Never tried it with a float. It's really a mix between spider rigging and trolling. I cast the minnow ad split shot out and pull them slower than you can with jigs.

    Thanks for the replies.
