Hi Tony, things are well here. We had a little too much rain in June and July which ruined my fig crop but since then it's been about normal except for the last few weeks. It's not that it has rained that much but the threat for sever thunderstorms have kept the boat on dry land which has been much to my wife's dislike.
The rains from hurricane Harvey haven't reached us yet except for an occasional stray thunderstorm like the two we had this moring. But that is nothing compared to our friends to the west of us. Man I feel for those in Houston and surronding area I saw on the weather channel this morning that the Brazos river is at 24 feet and expected to rise 30' more to above 50 feet. Cars running all around Houston trying to find a way out but all major roads and Interstates are blocked by water.
I've never tried pulling jigs here because most of the time there is too much grass in the water. Later this winter after the grass dies I will give it a try. I will also try dragging shiners on floats behind the boat. I've seen that work here but haven't use it much.
Wishing you the best,

Great job Tony!
Quick question - is pulling jigs the same as or similar to long line trolling? Just curious about the techniques you had mentioned - not sure I had seen a full description of it. Very familiar with "pushing" or spider rigging... Thanks!
Sounds good. My sister is in Houston but she is fine. Most of the water I fish is good for pulling or pushing and those techniques has really improved my catch. Good fishing my friend

Well done, nice catch!
Yes that's what I'm doing, long lining but sometimes the water I fish is shallow and I only have about 25' or less of line out sometimes just the length of the boat

Way to go Tony, I prefer pulling to pushing myself because you can cover water faster. Pushing has it's place to. I just get better numbers pulling.
