Back to the big g pulling cranks again Wednesday morning. This makes the 4th time I have done this. All I can say is thank ya'll for all the info you share on here. I still don't know exactly what I'm doing but it seems to be working. 17 crappie and 3 cats brought home with numerous stripe, white bass, and bass let go. Thanks again guys for sharing you techniques and expertise.

Great way to fish in the heat , especially if you get a Bimini top or rig an umbrella!!! You beat the odds pulling on the Big G as that is the most Black crappie I have seen from cranking !!! nice catch. Were you on the upper part of the lake or down toward Guntersville??

Excellent job. Are you using line counter reels to control your depth? Looks like you found a sweet spot!

Bob I am not using line counter just doing the old throw it as far as I can and let 2 or 3 line pulls out.

Well you might have just started but it looks like your a head of the curve for sure. I know guy that pull cranks and haven't had that kind of luck right off. I also haven't seen anyone catch black crappie much on cranks. What kind of cranks are you using?
