Neely Henry 3-26 and 3-27

Got out on a Sunday afternoon trip after church with my brother and his girlfriend. We caught around 15 and kept 10 mostly on Minnows and a couple on jigs around treetops on the lower end of the lake around the Rock Island. Went back Monday and took a fella and his 2 sons to lakeshore area. Had a great time caught about 25 fish and had 11 keepers (catching little bitty bass on some of my favorite trees). We likely missed close to 20 on the "your bobber is under jerk and reel learning curve". These kids first crappie so it was a success. They have enough for a fish fry. Ready to go back and jerk a few more lips.

It's always great fun to teach a young one on how to get the job done. I love watching them catch the bug as they start to catch the fish.

Sounds like a great trip with the kids, can't wait until my boy gets big enough to fish. I hope he will enjoy the outdoors as much as I do!
