Best Fishing Weather Patterns

I try to avoid a rising barometer and pay attention to the feeding tables and weather patterns to predict my probability of success.

I fish when I can and don't pay attention to the barometer. Catching is a bonus. Preference is a day that is slightly to partly overcast and the water I am fishing has a slight current.

Truth. As an example, went Saturday with Johndeere and the bite was pretty good. Caught several fish; some really good for this lake.

the weather started turning overnight but the wife and decided to go anyway Sunday evening and I went again Monday morning. On Saturday we found fish in 5 FOW and aggressive. Sunday and Monday they were not there anymore but found a few in 8 FOW. Those few we did get bit real light and there were several that wouldn't commit.

There is a rock solid rule about fishing. If you stay home because of the weather you won't catch a thing!

My rule of thumb is if im off work and the wind isn't blow over 15mph go fishing. Been a ton of days where I thought it was perfect weather for catching fish and not do that great. Then days its windy or temp is low and go load the boat. Can't catchem if your not on the water.
