Well, the crappie are still biting. Fished another part of Guntersville Lake this morning and kept 35 fish over 10 inches. And I hate to keep hammering this, but BG Mayfly was the bait of choice - along with a red headed jig. We were fishing a deep dock next to the creek channel. The bite wasn't red hot, just steady...until around 10am and it shut off. Here's the results:

Thanks, I have a great teacher - old hunting and softball-playing buddy of mine. He's been learning from other great N. Alabama crappie fishermen and passing it to me. And I hope to pass this to grandson one day. I now love winter fishing much better than the spawn - less people and the fish are more concentrated.
