Crappie are finicky creatures but worth the effort. I am of the opinion, valued very little as it is, that just getting out and enjoying the outdoors - the smells, views, sounds, etc. Catching fish is a bonus. For me, I love the conversations with my fishing partner. We unwind and have a great time together sometimes interrupted by biting fish.. heehee

Cold fronts,and wind. Crappie are a finicky fish and seem to react to weather changes more than other species. Hang in there
