Slow and steady wins the day.
Me and buddy hit the water at 10:00, first dock 4 keepers and 8-9 shorts. Second dock 4 shorts. Water temp 53.4 6-8 fow . Moved to deeper dock, 12-25 ' drop, 14 keepers, 7-10 shorts and two flat heads . First cat 20-25lb, second 12-15 lb. You talk about a ball on a 5'6" crappie rod that has two lb line on the real. Came in around 1:30, back out at 2:45. Back to same dock an ended with 8 more keepers and 7 shorts. Ended day around 4:00. All fish came in hand tied jigs, same as ones I listed yesterday. Would shoot the 1/64 jigs, let slowly sink with a slight bow in the line to pick up those light pick ups. Takes for ever for the jigs to reach bottom. Then we slowly pick the jig off the bottom and let it fall down the ledge and the bite would come on the fall. Just a little line pop.
