Sounds like a fun day exploring and catching fish. I don't think I have ever found anything remotely near 38 feet deep in Indian or Cotaco Creeks. Thanks for sharing.

I fished the Paint Rock River today putting in at Hwy 72 and fishing upstream till I ran out of water a couple miles upstream. I caught small bass, gills and catfish all day, even caught about a dozen small Crappie all returned except for 10 small catfish. It was a good day exploring some new water. One big surprise, the water between the Hwy 72 bridge and the railroad bridge on the Paint Rock is 38 feet deep! I never would have believed it without seeing it on my own fish finder.

Fishing is a privilege...catching is a bonus. Enjoy each precious moment we have to experience our great outdoors!
Good report glad you got to try some new water. They used to be some big cats that hung out in that hole .
Sounds like a great find!
I can't imagine what would caused the river to dig a hole that deep? Lot's of fish between 10 to 20 feet deep, but I couldn't get any to bite. They may have just been large shad.
