Weiss Report

Was on fall break last week and got to fish a couple of days. Dad and I fished Sun afternoon after church and Mon. Fish are starting to congregate on River ledges. Fish we caught were from 10 to 14 feet deep. Fish look very fat and healthy. Wind blew terribly the rest of the week so I did not go. The lake is very low for this time of year so every body needs to be real careful.

I also fished Weiss on Wed. 10-12-16 with my wife. We spider rigged around ledges and caught 22 crappie and 10 small catfish. Fish were caught from 12 to 22 feet deep. Had 16 good keepers and lost a few more before we got them in. Fall fishing has started and its getting good. Be careful because all our local lakes are lower than normal due to lack of rain.

I was raised on the tn. ala line. Started coming to weiss in the mid 70s. Took a coaching job in Rome about 16 yrs ago and have lived on the lake all that time. Fishing was much better yrs ago.
