Default Live Bait Near Hwy 31 Flint Creek Launch?

Went to Flint Creek last Saturday for the first time in years and think I will go back this weekend. What gas stations or bait shops near the launch have live bait? I would like to get minnows. I should have checked the one directly across from the launch as I was leaving but I didn't think about it at the time.

Believe it is a texaco station at the top of the hill across from launch that has live bait. If it's not directly across, it's real close (within 1/2 mile) and on opposite side of the road from the ramp.

Thanks. I know the one you are talking about. Figured they would have some but didn't want to waste time stopping at multiple places.

yea he normally has some but i always call in advance because sometimes while its hot he will not have any because he cannot keep them alive. Its Weavers Texaco if you want to look up there phone number they are right across from lowes. They are the only place around hartselle next closest place is decatur bait and tackle that i know of

They have nice lively shinners and they are in Stock. Its Directly across from Lowes on hwy 31. Rebmans bait shop in decatur has the best bait around in my opinion though. Good 3 inch black and salty tuffies. I tend to catch more fish on cotaco, flint and limestone with them for some reason. Could be happenstance

Thanks. I'm coming from Cullman this time so Decatur is too far out of the way, however, I will keep that in mind and will try them out in the future.

If near Madison, the Chevron station at the Greenbrier/Swancott exit off of I565 always had quality minnows at a good price. It is located on the southwest corner of the interchange. I suspect they still carry them. Haven't fished minnows in quite a while.
