Default Kayak Trip Report, Limestone Creek Old Hwy 20

Slow day for the Crappie, only caught 7, but I found many Gills, bass and catfish. Best bait was a 1/32oz beetle spin in Red and Chartreuse.

Great thing about Creek fishing, most of the fish were in the shade, LOL.

I fished 6AM till around Noon. Wasn't bad until I got in the sun dragging my kayak back to the truck and loading to leave. I kept half a limit and tossed back literally hundreds of gills. I also caught several bass up to 2 pounds and even had a large bass grab one of my gills that I was reeling in. Fun morning in the heat, did much better then I thought I would. Even the Crappie were all over 10 inches.
