Kayak Trip Report, Swan Creek WMA
I made a quick trip to Swan Creek this morning catching a few fish for dinner. I kept half a limit of gills and shellcrackers fishing from 6AM till around 10AM and released many, many more including 11 Crappie. Best bait was a 1/32oz spinner with an orange body. Fun morning, but it got hot quick!

Fine mess of fish
Every day is a holiday and every meal is a picnic.

Fun morning, also saw several large Bass, but only hooked a few tiny ones under 12 inches.
Right now the coolest part of the day is at daylight so the shallow bite is early. The fish were already slowing down by 8AM.

Good morning for sure. Were the fish tight to the lily pads or more in the open water ? I may have to break out the frog and try the green fish. I have not caught a crappie in about 3 weeks over there. Hope to catch some soon. Thanks for the report
