Guntersville cranking report and gratuitous advertising

My friend took me on a little crappie cranking yesterday. This was totally new to me and I learned a lot. We caught about a dozen nice ones like in the picture. Most were 14" to 15-1/2" and came off Bandit 200 and 300 baits over 19-20 feet at 2 mph.

We ran into a couple of schools of nice stripe and I am usually one that would stop and catch a few more of these when things are slow. But cranking with 8 rods out and 8 fish on got messy real quick.

Note: I cropped the picture a little bit so my partner don't get credit. (Sorry guys, it was a little too revealing.) I really didn't even realize he was wearing the tee-shirt until we took the picture. What do I get for this one?

Well, you get a big congrats!!! Nice fish, that's what I like about the crankin, they all seem to be real nice fish. What bait pattern did the best for you?

It started off with the craw colored Bandit 200, but as the day warmed up the bite came off the 300 in a black/purple color. I don't know the name of the Bandit color, but it had a black back with purple bottom. (May be Black Gum or something like that.)
