    Default First time cranking

Tomorrow I plan on pulling crankbaits on Neely Henry in addition to shooting a few docks. I've never pull cranks before, so what depth should I start at this time of year?

By no means am I a pro at dragging cranks but if it were me i would run channel ledges in 10-15 FOW. Also channels running into creek mouths. Assuming you are pulling 300 Bandits. Good luck and post results.

Also, Typically it is White Crappie that hit crank baits. They seem to be more aggressive than Black Crappie in regards to cranks.

First time I pulled cranks on Neely Henry I did pretty good. I have tried 2 or 3 times since then with no luck. I am sure they can be caught with them if you can find the right area. I have been meaning to get back over there and try in the main river channel and some areas on the lower end of the lake.
