One more Swan Creek WMA

Son and I went out in the kayaks and fished from about 5:30 to 8:00 this afternoon. I caught 1 crappie, 1 bass and several gills. The bass and gills were all small, but the crappie was 11". Son caught a few small bass and a nice mess of gills. I only kept the crappie and son kept about 15 nice gills...he probably caught 30 but only kept the nice ones. Son used crickets and they seemed to be the ticket. I fished a white and chartreuse curly tail grub on a beetle spin type jig and blade.
