Kayak Trip Report, Bradford Sinks

I'm going to Bradford Sinks on Redstone Arsenal tomorrow (Saturday morning). I plan to keep a half limit of Crappie, but spend most of the morning looking for gills and Shellcrackers amongst the lily pads. I'll let you know how I do.

Tough morning, I caught a couple dozen Crappie and about the same number of gills. Everything was small and I never found a pattern or color that worked. The fish were hitting soft or tail biting. I think the cooler weather and rain yesterday slowed down the gill bite. They'll be on fire by tomorrow afternoon with a little sun and some warmer temperatures.
