Default Weiss Report, 15 April 2015

Another day in the wind tunnel. Launched around 9am at Yellow Creek and the bay was full of whitecaps. Fished close to the bank on the windward side and no bites. Left there and punished ourselves by motoring over to the Little River confluence and fished about 8 docks sheltered by a couple of islands; again with no bites. Back to Yellow Creek for the last session. Caught 12 on BG Blue Thunder, both whites and blacks, but only 3 measured. We were casting and shooting docks out of the wind with at least 50% dark water under them - not all docks hold fish because of a lack of shading/shadows. The water temp measured 64F but we didn't tie up with any large fish and really didn't catch any fish in shallow water (bedding). This weather continues to vex me as well as hold the fish in deeper waters (I think). Maybe when I get to the ramp and there are no others launching/launched, it would be a good indicator.

Good luck, and watch the weather. Weiss can generate some huge swells when the wind is up.
