WIND! My fishing bud and I 'were' going to fish the G today but the honking winds made us consider Weiss. And we got there and found the wind works down there just as good, maybe better. Launched at Yellow Creek and found 2 foot waves out in the large portion of the bay. Then decided to go across the lake, but what did we find? Wind.

Anyway, we caught all of two crappie with BG jigs (watermelon and lime) and they wouldn't measure. Gave it up around 500pm and went home. I guess better days are ahead.

Post script - Everywhere we went we saw huge balls and layers of bait fish. Maybe the crappie have stuffed themselves and didn't need to eat.
