    Default Limestone creek/gravel pit

Fished from bank today in 3 or 4 spots near gravel pit. Started about 1p.m . Used my kayak to bounce around some current breaks and find places out of the wind. I caught 30+ with most being 8 inchers. Looking really excellent for next year. I was casting single pole with minnows and pink bobby garland 3-4ft under bobber. Kept 15 and give some away to a family from TN. Also I caught almost every type of other fish so needles to say I had a BLAST. My face is chapped but I don't take lip from any wind. Though i did fight it every cast.

I most definitely threw them back. Sorry if my post seemed to insinuate that i kept the 8 inchers. lol.. I kept 15 that were all 9"-13" and give half of those away.

That's one of my favorite areas to kayak while the water is down over the winter. Once the water comes up a foot or two there will be 2 dozen boats up in there. Enjoy while you can for the next week or two.
