Tough day, 16 March 2016 report
On the water around day break at South Sauty. Water temp was hovering around 62F. Worked some usually spots and NADA. Did not see schooling fish or bait balls anywhere except around the bridge on the causeway. No strikes anywhere - decided to head to Weiss. Pretty much same at Weiss - no concentrations of fish and bait around Yellow Creek area. Water temps were 66F but water is still low, plenty of daylight under the docks. Picked up only 3 keepers in 4 hours of dragging jigs. And on top of all that, cranking battery died and we blew some fuses on the motor trying to hook up one of the trolling motor batteries up to the motor. Ended up using the trolling motor for about a mile to get to the ramp. Thanks to the Minn Kota Terrova for getting us back to the truck/trailer. Hope the weather will stabilize soon and they quit dumping water every time it threatens rain.

Glad to hear you were able to get back in. It's a bad feeling when you find yourself stranded out there.

Turned out, the neutral crank microswitch in the control box was the culprit. Thank goodness it wasn't something more expensive, like a ECM or fuel pump. I have the switch by-passed until I can order one and install it. Got to stay on the water.
