Default Fishing Report - Shoal Creek, Cotaco and Town Creek

Fished shoal creek last Friday - Caught 4 really nice crappie on jigs (white marabou jig and also black/green) in about 6-10 foot of water. Water was 60-62 degrees, pretty stained....had to leave around 10 when I got hit in the eye with a jig and had to go to the doctor.

Fished Cotaco last Saturday - Current was VERY strong, water was really muddy, water level was the lowest I have ever seen it. Fishing was HORRIBLE. Wife was SUPER mad I would "do something so stupid like go fishing the day after I got hit in the eye especially when the doctor told me to take it easy for a few days"......

Fished Town Creek (G'vile) yesterday with my wife (had to earn some brownie points from last Saturday) - caught 15+ crappie but only 2 keepers, water temp was 63, all were caught on jigs (BG blue ice) in 2-3 feet of water - Most importantly, my ol lady had a GREAT time!

Dang dude sorry to hear about your eye. Just another justification for a good pair of polarized glasses. Tell her Dr's orders. Thanks for the report. From the Shoals to Cotaco you sure do get around. I sure wish we could still use the ramp at Town Creek. Which ramp did you launch from to get to Town Creek.

It was litterally one of the only times I didn't wear my glasses cuz I thought it was going to rain.

We launch from Siebold to go to town creek.

I heard they dropped the water on Wheeler today so Cotaco is about 3-4 feet lower than last Saturday. It's a damn shame because the crappie were already laying eggs and now they're on dry land.
