New to crappie fishing question (Lake Jordan)

Hey fellas, grew up hunting mostly and not much fishing. Gotten a little older and live close to Lake Jordan,AL and now have my own boat. My question is...how do I figure out where to crappie fish on the lake and when? Me and my fishing buddies are ignorant and just don't know where to start. Any input would be much appreciated.

under the bridge at Blackwell slough with minners would be a good start,,,I hear you gotta get there early,,welcome to the forum,,,I mostly fish Mitchell and martin,,,

Just get on the lake and spend a little time looking around. Look for boats that are obvious signs of crappie fishermen. Most crappie fishermen fish out of tin boats and the anglers are seated whereas most bass anglers are standing. If you see multiple boats in one area, make a note. That is a place to learn more about.

Also look for good creeks off the main channel. Creek ledges with stumps on them or laydowns are good. Bridges are good.

Same boat. Never been a crappie fisherman and don't have any local buddies that do so it is a daunting task to find migrating fish on thousands of acres. I live on the Titus side if you want to team up sometime and share some lessons learned.

Swayback and weokee are both popular crappie spots but stay muddy after a good rain. Went to swayback friday and struck out. between the wind
and muddy water fishing was tough. Blackwells is good too if you like tying up to a bridge and fishing. I just like to move around and search for fish
but I am not too good at either. Let us know if you learn anything about Jordan because I need help too. It use to be easy to catch a good mess
years ago but has gotten increasingly difficult for me on Jordan.

Sounds good greenie...I tried Blackwells this past weekend and we caught six (me just one of those) . They were good size and full of eggs. I just want to have other options if the bridge doesn't pan out. Will definitely share info as I learn!

tfish...we went to Swayback after Blackwells and fish just for a short period. Not a bite. Also found that the water is fairly shallow around it compared to Blackwells on the fish finder. Where is weokee?

Weoka is the predominant creek/slough just north of Lake Jordan Marina on the east side of the lake. If you pull the lake up on google maps is is labeled. Lots of submerged stumps going in, so go slow until you learn the channel.

Yeah the bridge is. Sorry I call swayback the entire area after camp chandler. There is plenty of 20 and 30 foot of water areas up and down that creek if you like to spider rig or longline. I never fish the bridge just all of the area leading up to the bridge

Fishing been tough on Jordan. Blackwell has saved us the last few times we went. Still wasn't great
