Fishing areas around Prattville or Trussvile

My wife and I have some friends that recently moved to Trussville and my wife informed me we need to plan a day to go up and visit or meet somewhere halfway. I live in Mobile so I immediately agreed to take her to visit as often as she wants as long as I drag the boat along so I can crappie fish. I know the Alabama river is good around Prattville but have no idea where to launch or try fishing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and if there is anything close to Trussville I might go that route sometime too.

An hour drive from Trussville can put you on Guntersville, Logan Martin, Neely Henry, Lay, Weiss, Smith and several other smaller lakes

There is a launch in prattville to the alabama river it on hwy 31 headed south it called cooters pond it is full of trees and you can get out onto the rover also

The fish should b staging at the mouths of the creeks. With the mild winter some maybe moving back. Jackson lake is another good spot. It's n Millbrook.
