Right now I use a transom mount Helix 5 gps/di for running and for fishing. I just twist it around when I move up front. But I feel like I am losing advantage when I fish up front and the transducer is in the back. I also have a Mark 5X Pro that I upgraded from. My TM has a V2 in the foot that I think works. I haven't tried it yet. I can buy a adapter for either unit but will lose DI if I hook the Helix to the TM. And if I need to run the Mark 5 to the transom I have to buy a transducer or could I just shoot thru the hull with the transducer I got with the Mark 5. I am looking for ideas on how to use the two to my best advantage. And if you have a part that I need like the adapters or the transom transducer you want to unload let me know.
I don't think your transducer will read Di through the hull go to the fishing electronic page on main foum. those guys are good about helping and know what they are talking about.
