I also fish alone about 90% of the time. I really enjoy the peace and quiet.
I have the opposite problem, if I'm suppose to meet you at 6:00AM I'll be ringing your door bell at 5:30AM, LOL!
I fish alone 90%. Even other kayakers usually don't want to go through what I do some days.
It's a bit much to say "lets go fishing", then expect someone to walk a half mile with a kayak on a cart to get into a three foot deep slough.
I fish alone most of the time as well cause the kids like to go only when I am catching not fishing and it's hard to get
others committed . if so you have to buy the gas provide the boat pick them up clean the fish for them . And let them use your stuff. Lol. What a different world we live in today
I have left ditch basser hanging a few times but i know he don't need me anyway. Actually i usually i let him know if i am for sure in or just maybe in. I don't mind anyone backing out on me, when i am going in rhe boat, but i get riled when they don't tell me asap so i could either ask someone else or not get all my gear loaded up and prepared. That can be a chore.
alexava,
No harm, I usually meet up on the water. It's not a big deal when each person is in their own one man boat.
Good thoughts, I'm over it now. Posted it more out of humor than anger anyways. I got him good tho......lol. I put an amber alert out by text message via group message about 6 am. When all his buddies shamed him he finally responded. He's a good scout just not a dedicated fisherman like some. He would have never missed a fishing trip. Good fishing to all
