Every day is a holiday and every meal is a picnic.
You killed them, great job. Wished I'd gone to Limestone now!
I added report to the title so you could be in the BG contest. Look in the stickies at the top.

Nope, I haven't caught that many White Crappie this fall out of Limestone Bay if you combine all my trips together.
I may have to follow genecline next weekend.![]()
Snapperking what lake did you catch the sauger on. They have been few and far between for me the past 8-9 years. About 10 yrs ago you could go to Guntersville in December and January, idle out to the middle of the the river channel and catch them all day long, but them days seem to be long gone.
I caught the Sauger below Guntersville dam which is actually the very upper end of Wheeler if you want to be exact about it HA . I fish the Arab side . WHen the waters high with a lot of gates I use a quarter ounce jig with a green mini jig tipped with a minnow. You throw it angling up toward the dam and let the water work it back down river moving the line in as it bumps along and yes you do get hung a lot but not as much once you learn where the bank rocks start which is usually about 8 to 10 feet out then I speed up my retrieve and sometimes get bit then. Also you will get lots of white stripe and the occasional Drum.I probably would hold the state record for Fresh water drum on 4 lb test if I ever turned one it HA as there are some heavy weights down there!!
Great report and tutorial on the sauger bite. Congrats!!
