    Default Kayak Fishing Friday

I've been out of town and haven't gotten a line wet in two weeks. I plan to take Friday off from work, looking for ideas where to try?

White Springs............remember how you said you like going in there in July and August after the weeds keep us john boats out of there. Not sure how much water is in the canal now and I guess it would be a long haul in this heat although early morning temps are to be cooler the next 3 days.I am sure the Lily pads will be thick!!

    Snapperking,

Thanks for the reminder, I think that's where I'll go. Hopefully you left a few in there for me.

OH we left as many as there were in there since you last visited the area in HA as far as the crappie go, maybe a dozen less , but we did reduce the big gill population up until June!!Wish we could follow you in and let you throw the culls into our john boat (grin)

I kept 11 from White Springs today, tossed back about as many short fish. Little bit of a slow day for that area but still nice to be on the water. I think Snapperking must have caught them all since my last trip.

I wish that were true Ditch but we haven't been back in there since early June, hard to get the jon boat up that canal with the low water and grass and 2 big ole boys in it How was the grass by the way?? and the water depth in the canal?
My big water fishing buddy and I have been pulling cranks on the big G for the most part and getting a few of the big white crappie there and when hes off chasing the elusive striped bass I have a certain bridge that's been pretty good this Summer so far. It may have to carry me till Fall since the starter went out on his motor!!

Water was high today, two to three feet deep in the canal. Easy ride for your john boat and trolling motor. More rain today so it should be still up tomorrow.
