Default Kayak trip report, Swan Creek

I made a quick trip to Swan Creek after work today. 97 degrees outside and surface water temp, summer is here. I caught three small Crappie, a hand full of gills and a half dozen or so small bass. Not a bad afternoon. All fish were caught on a small spinner with a 1 inch, white twister tail body. All released for another day.

Made for a hot trip. I can bet to got toasty in the kayak. Not much air flow around your lower half in a sit in kayak.
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along

Normally your lower body is dealing with the same temp as the water. That's a big advantage in the winter when the water is 40 or 45 degrees while the air may be freezing or even below. It makes for a hot ride this time of year though.
