Default Kayak Trip Report, Barron Fork Creek

I made a short trip to Barron Fork Creek this morning fishing 6:30AM till about 11:00AM. The best bait was still the Hot Skirt jig in pink and pearl, spider rigging about 24 inches deep in 36 inches of water. The water was 86 degrees at daylight. I returned several 14 and 15 inch Crappie for another day.

Fun and cool morning before the wind got up.

Barron Fork connects to Indian Creek, then into Lake Wheeler. I park at the bridge on Zierdt road and lunch from there.
