Default Kayak Trip Report, Garth Slough, Lilly Pond and Limestone Slough

I started this morning fished Garth Slough and Suzie Hole but never could get on the fish. I move on to Lilly Pond around 9:30AM and was also unsuccessful. I finally stopped at Limestone Bay on my way home around 12:00 and tried a slough there. I finally picked up half limit along with several short fish. Best bait was a 1/16 oz, Hot Skirt Jig in Pink and Pearl. Fish were caught spider rigging about 18 inches deep in two to three feet of water. The surface temperature was 89 to 90 degrees.

Nice hall ditch, I went this morning and pulled cranks for about 4 hours. Got my tail kicked with a whapping creel of 2. Caught them right after daylight within 2 minutes of each other and BAM!!!!! someone turned off the switch. Not another hit the rest of the day. My hats off to you sir.

superfly, I drug jigs from daylight till 3:00PM and caught all my fish the last two hours. There wasn't any skill, just persistence and luck today.

The crappie can't hide from you. Do you put in at the the ramp or is there a place closer to the main road to put a kayak in? Thanks for report

The great thing about limestone is you can launch a kayak anywhere, all the way around it.

Ditch is dialed in on them with that kayak. Puts it in stealth mode and the fish don't know what hit them.
