    Default Cat fish logan martin

Moved to a new house and have a ten year old boy in neighborhood dying to fish. Took him bass fishing Friday and tried shooting a few docks but that's a little hard for him. Was thinking maybe anchoring and cat fishing would be fun for him. I never do this so I'm looking for advice on type of rig, bait and what kind of area they would be in this time of year. Will put in at town and country so something close to there would be nice. Anyone have any suggestions.

3 way swivel, 1 foot of leader to sinker 1 foot to hook, use night crawlers or cut bait (cut skipjack if you can get it) Win. Cats should be on the beds too. They like to spawn in broken rock on steep banks. If they are fish a cork with the bait at 6-8 feet and use chicken liver. Its fun fishing for them on beds. Almost like catching crappie. Good Luck
