That's a beast. Saw a video years ago of two kayaks fighting a halibut. One would back paddle while the other played the fish then they would re tie the kayaks together and trade spots. It ended with showing a map of how far the fish had pulled them around.

Good news and bad news for the guy.....Catching a goliath grouper or as we old salts knew them a Jew fish ,like that is a thrill for sure .The bad news is he will probably be questioned and/or even cited for how he knows how much it weighs as it is against the law in Florida, if thats where he caught it and Im sure it is, to lift a goliath grouper out of the water for any reason much less keep one.They have been so protected that there are so many now that the smaller ones (25 to 100 lbs ) live inshore under docks and in mangrove roots. There is a movement to allow one per trip but given the feds hard line one turning loose of a shortened limit ,it will not happen.

I saw this and thought "WOW" didnt know that DitchBasser had a trip to Fla planned! I bet that was a heck of fight/and ride. I can picture Ditch snagging one of the big MudCats in the ole Tennesee River one day and it dragging him all the way to the dam!!
